Review: Benefit Benetint Lip and Cheek Stain
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Along with the new Hello Flawless foundation, I was also sent several other popular products to try out. One of these is their Benetint Lip and Cheek stain. When I first opened up the red box it looks a a larger container of nail polish, but much thinner consistency (than nail polish). Even the brush attached to the lid is reminiscent of a bottle of nail polish. The first time I tried this I was skeptical how a think red liquid would do much.
Up until a few months ago, I did not wear any sort of blush EVER. My cheeks are almost always some shade of red/pink. I find it very frustrating. And if I get upset or embarrassed and blush then it is even more noticeable. *sigh* That issue aside. When I opened the bottle I am not sure what I eas expecting, but would have though that the liquid pigment would have been thicker in consistancy.
I first tried it on my cheeks and found it to work well, but isn’t my favorite. Then I tried it on my lips and discovered that it is a fabulous way to start to build a darker “natural” lip color. I have grown accustomed to how thin it is. It is now a part of my daily make-up routine. I put a couple coats on, let it dry, and repeat 1-3 more times until lip color is as dark as wanting.
So far EVERYTHING I have tried from Benefit’s cosmetics line is extremely well made. I just wish the price tag wasn’t as expensive as it is. But I am not looking forward to when I run out and I have to decide whether I need to fork over more money for Benefit’s obviously superior products or purchase brands from my local drug stores that are less expensive but not nearly as high quality as Benefits.
Are you partial to any cosmetics brand? If so which one and what products are must haves?
