I recently had the pleasure of trying Benefit cosmetic’s new Hello Flawless foundation line as part of a sampling program. I was sent the entire line of 9 foundations along with several other Benefit cosmetics that I will be reviewing in the coming weeks. I am very fair skinned significantly lighter than I was as a child especially in the summer. And so I am almost always the lightest or one of the lightest foundation shades.
Amazingly 4 of the 9 foundations when applied work for me. And the next 3 shades work for my sister. Only the two darkest do not work for either of us. Before this, I had heard of Benefit, but hadn’t had the opportunity to use any of their products myself as they are on the more expensive side. I hadn’t used liquid foundation in many years as I felt it didn’t mesh well with my skin texure or tone until now.
I love this new foundation line. I have been using it for a few months and still have most of the bottle left as I only use a little bit at a time. A little truly does go a long way. Naturally I have very pink flushed cheeks and this foundation covers the redness I hate very nicely. Before this, I wouldn’t touch blush wiht a ten foot pole. Now my face is left a ‘blank’ canvas and I will actually add a little blush back! I also tend to sweat a lot (and very easily for that matter), yet this foundation does seem to stay mostly in place for the entire day. As long as I am careful to only blot and not wipe my face.
I know the cost for just one of these foundations is a bit steep, but the bottle does seem to last quite a while so I am going to have a hard time not wanting to purchase this in the future when I do finally run out of my 4 slightly different shades. Do you have a specific brand or type of foundation that you use? I’d love to hear about what foundations you have found that work well for you and whether you prefer liquid, a creamy ‘solid’, pressed powder, or loose powder?
