anywhere in the 1800′s as I’d like to meet some of my older relatives

      Lisa,
I’d also love to meet older relatives. Though in the Clockwise series both Adeline and Casey travel back in time in the same location that they current live/are. Since neither my moms or dads family is from California, I wouldn’t be able to meet them just going back in time unless I traveled to another location as well.

I think I would go back to the 1800′s too or even 1700′s just to see just how different life was back then.

    • Jaclyn says:

      Donna,
I think it would be so interesting to really be able to see how people lived 100, 200, even 300 hundred years ago. Although it would also be interesting to see the world when my parents were children which would be closer to the time Adeline Savoy in Like Clockwork the third in the series travels to.

I’d like to travel back to the pioneer days because I’d love to see AND experience life in that time. I think it would be a very awesome and eye opening experience. :)

      Crystal,
It would be interesting to not only be able to see but truly live and experience pioneer days. Although I’m not sure I’d really want to have to spend too much time in a covered wagon or anything. There certainly wasn’t any sort of temperature control in those. That just reminds me think back to how often I lost playing Oregon Trail in elementary and middle school because the rest of the people on my trip died from too much or too little heat, disease, famine, thirst, or a whole host of other things. I remember after playing it so much that I would finally have a better understanding as to what time of year was best to leave, how many (and of what type) of animals to bring, how many wagons (and spare parts), how much food, medicine, clothes and blankets, and other equipment. I know it was just a computer game, but it was somewhat educational too.

I would like to travel to Ireland, in the time that the people there still believed in their legends. (Do you know the books of Juliet Marillier? I would love to hear some of those legends for real!) Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Carleen says:

I think if I could go back I would want it to occur at my grandpa’s old farm and go back to when he was a kid growing up in the 1930′s. It would be fun to see how it looked then what their life was like.

I use to die all the time in Oregon Trail too so too far back would be a bit too much of a change. So many things have changed since the early 1900′ s even.

  • Well, not sure if in book its time travel to future and past, or not, as i had not read any yet, I own the first, but hadn’t read yet.
If I could I would love the future, really not much interest in the past, as it would all suck for me, I am a total technology kind of girl, would not do well with roughing it,lol, thanks for the giveaway
