Product Reviews: Adovia Facial Lift & Firm Serum with Dead Sea Minerals & Vitamin C and Dead Sea Salt Soap

imageHi Lovelies!

I recently had the opportunity to try two more awesome products by Adovia Mineral Skin Care, Facial Lift & Firm Serum with Dead Sea Minerals (click HERE to find on Amazon) and Dead Sea Salt Soap (find on Amazon by clicking HERE). All Adovia products are made in Israel. Whenever possible, I prefer to purchase products made in Israel. Dead Sea Minerals are long believed to hold beneficial and/or healing properties. Salt (and sugar) scrubs are a fabulous way to exfoliate your skin without using harsh chemicals. Adovia’s Dead Sea Salt soap is using salt as a gentle and natural way to slough off dead skin cells revitalizing your skin.

I personally LOVE using sugar scrubs to exfoliate my lips prior to applying lipstick (especially matte lipsticks). I truly have enjoyed using this Dead Sea Salt Soap. I’m fairly picky when it comes to bars of soap that I’ll use on my body as I once had a doctor tell me that using Ivory was contributing to my itchy skin. He recommended that I ONLY use Dove which is milder and much more moisturizing. Amazingly this soap didn’t irritate my skin either.
image
I like to exfoliate before shaving (my legs) as I’ve heard it helps to achieve a closer shave. I also like the how soft and supple frequent exfoliating leaves my skin. So if you are looking for a relatively inexpensive exfoliating bar of soap then I highly recommend that you check out Adovia’s Dead Sea Salt Soap which you can easily find on Amazon by clicking HERE.

I also had the chance to try Adovia’s Facial Lift & Firm Serum with Dead Sea Minerals & Vitamin C. I love serums! Vitamin C is commonly thought to help aging skin when applied topically. In fact all the serums I’ve tried in recent months have contained a fair amount of Vitamin C.
image
I love the feel of this serum as I apply it. And the lovely glass bottle looks nice on my counter as well. I also really like that this serum has a pump dispenser as opposed to a dropper. I find that pump dispensers are a lot less messy although a dropper is helpful when the serum is very liquidy.
image
This serum is much thicker and creamier in consistency than the other serums I’ve tried. You may prefer a thinner consistency as it all just personal preference.
image
Positive effects from changes in skincare routine do not happen overnight. I’m not sure if I can tell if I’ve had any changes in the minimal amount of wrinkles/fine lines that I do have.
image
What I have noticed is that my skin is much less dry than what is usual for me. Typically I’m prone to very dry skin and will have dry patches if I don’t exfoliate before applying makeup.
image
Lately, I haven’t needed to scrub my face as carefully as my skin seems to be ‘naturally’ less dry. I do still apply some kind of moisturizer before applying foundation, but forgot a couple times and still had a flawless makeup application.

If you are looking for a creamy serum with anti-aging properties that promotes hydrated (not oily or greasy) skin, then you may want to check out Adovia’s Firm & Lift Serum with Dead Sea Minerals & Vitamin C which you can find on Amazon by clicking HERE.

Do you have a favorite bar soap or serum? I’d love to hear all about it in the comments below!

Hi Loveleis!

I’m back with more beauty product reviews! Today I’m bringing you reviews on two products from the company Adovia. According to Adovia’s website, “Adovia is a unique skin care line, combining natural ingreadients with modern science to formulate an effective blend of minerals and the finest herbal ingredients nature has to offer.”

I recently posted a review of Adovia’s Dead Sea Mud Facial Mask that I’ve been just loving! So when the opportunity to review more Adovia products arose, I immediately jumped at the chance. So far I’ve really enjoyed using everything I’ve received from Adovia. Two more Adovia products just arrived a few days ago and I can’t wait to use them.

Another reason I love Adovia products is that not only are they fabulous products, but they are all made in Israel. Whenever I get the chance, I prefer to purchase items from Israel. I feel like it is a small thing I can do to support the only Jewish state in the world. And I hope to be able to, G-d willing, visit Israel one day.

Just like the Mud Mask, Adovia’s Dead Sea Mud Shampoo is also black in color. The scent is pleasant and isn’t too strong. I truly enjoy the texture and feeling of the Shampoo during and after application. I aways let Shampoo sit for several minutes before rinsing out as I use various haircare products and want to make sure I get it all out before starting the process again.

Unlinke the Shampoo, Adovia’s Dead Sea Salt Conditioner isn’t black in color from the Dead Sea Mud, but white as it contains Dead Sea Salt instead of Mud. I always find it amusing when hair products say to use a dime or quarter size amount as I have fairly long (below shoulders) hair that is quite thick (which only took 4+ years to grow back after losing well over half my hair) as that minute amount would barely cover my scalp! Needless to say, I go through Shampoo and especially Conditioner faster than most.

My hair LOVES conditioner! Since I have naturally thick curly hair, my hair is prone to always be chronically dry. My hair definitely seems to like this Dead Sea Salt Conditioner. After applying (significantly more than the directions state), I always let Conditioner sit in my hair for 5-10 mintues. Towards the end of that time I’ll brush/comb my hair. If I plan to leave my hair curly, I’ll only use a comb (no brush) out of the shower and so I’ll make sure to detangle my hair while the condtioner is still in. After washing my hair, I’ll add a few squirts of a hair oil to add further moisture and shine (but never greasy).

If you like Dead Sea Mud and Sea Salt products, then you’ll LOVE Adovia’s  Dead Sea Mud Shampoo (click HERE to find on Amazon) and Sea Salt Condtioner (click HERE to find this item on Amazon) with each selling for only $19!

What types of Shampoo and Condtioners do you use? Do you or have you ever used Dead Sea Mud or Sea Salt products? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

And please look out for my reviews on Adovia’s Mineral Lift Serum and Moisturizing Mineral Soap coming soon!

Review:  Adovia Dead Sea Facial Mud Mask

Hi Lovelies,

Recently, I had the opportunity of trying out Adovia’s Dead Sea Mud Facial Mask. I was immediately drawn to applying for this campaign as this line is made in Israel. Whenever possible, I prefer to purchase products made in Israel as I feel it is a small thing I can do to support the only Jewish country.

The mud found in the Dead Sea has been long sought after as having great skincare benefits. TrustedOnlineStore is the name of the seller on Amazon says that:

“Facial Mask Tightens and Purifies Pores leaving Clear, Younger Complexion Dead Sea Mud Quickly Reduces Acne and Pimples Over 21 Minerals Present in Dead Sea Mud Mask help to keep skin healthier and act as acne treatment A facial Dead Sea Mud Mask Facial Treatment in Spas cost from $70-120. This Mask contains 30 Sessions! Can be Used as Spot treatment & Blackhead Remover.”

I’m loving this facial mask and it is so easy to use! I just spread a thin layer over clean skin and let dry for 10-20 or so minutes before rinsing off. My skin feels so refreshed, smooth, and soft afterwards. Once completely dry I used toner followed by a vitamin C serum and moisturizer. I find that my face feels just the same the following morning!

I have chronically dry skin and so I’m quite prone to flaky dry patches that makes ANY makeup look cake-u and obviously look like I’m wearing makeup. Because of this I use an exfoliating face wash daily and like to use (various) masks a few days a week. I alternate between a deep(er) exfoliating masks and hydrating masks. I’d say this one falls somewhere in between.

image

Ingredient list

The exfoliating mask I use has ‘micro-beads’ the provide the somewhat ‘rough’ particles that actually do the exfoliating whereas the hydrating one is extra thick and creamy. This Adovia Dead Sea Facial Mud Mask doesn’t have a ‘rough’ surface like my other one does, yet it still manages to remove the same amount of dead skin while still managing to not dry out my skin further.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a great (and easy) mask to use at home to pamper your skin. It is a much more affordable way to pamper ones skin than running out to an expensive spa. If you are interested in purchasing this you can do so on Amazon by clicking HERE. Each tube contains approximately 30 uses for just $30 which is only $1 per use while other similar products easily cost 2-4 times this!

I’d LOVE the hear from you as to whether you follow a skincare regimen? Why or why not? If you do, do you use facial masks?
